Quick
Intro

“I’m at the beginning of learning how to manage pressure, emotion, and recovery during matches. These routines are not my invention — they’re inspired by elite frameworks I’ve been studying and now slowly testing in my own rhythm. Some of these ideas were shared during masterclasses with performance coach Richard Sutton, whose work is helping me build awareness from the inside out. This page is where I document what I’m trying — not to teach, but to learn out loud. I’m sharing the process, not the answers, because I believe mental growth should start young — and I want to be one of the players who leads by being real about that.”

— Lyndsey

This page isn’t about being perfect — it’s about showing the work. I’m learning how to reset, focus, and grow under pressure, and this is where I keep track of that journey.

What I’m Exploring

  • Match Card – a planner I use before matches to stay focused
  • Reset Routine – steps I follow between points
  • Reflection Page – where I log how I felt and what worked

“I’m still learning what works for me. These routines aren’t perfect — but they help me breathe, reset, and feel more in control on court. If you’re trying to do the same, maybe they’ll help you too.” — Lyndsey

Not Just for Tennis

These tools have helped in school, tough days, or even quiet moments before a challenge. If you're learning how to manage pressure too, maybe these cues can help you breathe and reset when it matters.

Reframe the Moment

  • That was just data — not disaster.
  • There’s no fire. One point at a time.
  • She hasn’t seen my best yet.
  • Breathe. Reset. Trust the pattern.
  • I learned. That means I’m winning something.

What This Could Become

This page is just a starting point. I’m still learning and testing. But maybe one day it becomes a toolkit other girls can download, or a journal they can carry into matches.
For now, it’s just where I’m keeping track of the mental side of my journey — one match at a time.

Lyndsey Says

“Tennis has taught me more than how to hit a ball. It’s taught me how to breathe when I’m overwhelmed, reset when I spiral, and stay present when the pressure builds.

This new page — Lyndsey’s Toolkit — isn’t a program. It’s not perfect. It’s just a space to hold the tools I’m learning, the routines I’m testing, and the mindset I’m trying to build — one match at a time.

Created with the quiet support of my parents, this is about learning how to grow through the hard points — not just on court, but in life. If it helps even one girl feel a little calmer, a little braver, or a little more in control… that’s already a win.”
